Diagnostic Residentials 2018

The Subcommittee on Plant Health Diagnostics (SPHD) is pleased to announce applications for the new round of the Diagnostic Residential program are now open. All NPBDN members are invited to submit an application to undertake a Diagnostic Residential, which involves spending time in another laboratory, workplace, or participating in relevant activities to improve your diagnostic capability. For more information on the Diagnostic Residential, refer to the guidelines here. This round is an open call, with all applications that show benefit to NPBDN considered for funding.

This is an open round of Diagnostic Residential applications, with all applications that show benefit to NPBDN considered for funding. If appropriate, there is an option to specify that the Diagnostic Residential will address:

• A known diagnostic gap for National Priority Plant Pests (NPPPs) – see Appendix 1 of the guidelines for a listing
• A known diagnostic gap for tropical diagnostics – see NPBDN website here for gap analysis

Applications opened on the 29th of August 2018 and close at 5 pm AEST on the 21st of September 2018. The application form is available here, and once completed can be submitted to the NPBDN Executive Officer at SPHD@agriculture.gov.au.
