EOI to attend Fusarium Laboratory Workshop in USA

Fusarium Laboratory Workshop will be held at Kansas State University, USA from 21-26 June 2015. Under instruction from eight leading international Fusarium experts, participants will learn about:

  • Laboratory strain identification
  • VCG analysis
  • Mating types and crosses
  • Species concepts
  • Molecular identification

To facilitate and expand the knowledge and understanding of Fusarium in Australia, the Plant Biosecurity Cooperative Research Centre (PBCRC) has agreed to cover the cost of registration ($2100) for up to five researchers to attend the workshop and is seeking expressions of interest from delegates wishing to attend.

The workshop is being convened by Professor John Leslie from Kansas State University. More information about the workshop is available on the Fusarium Laboratory Workshop website or in a Fusarium Laboratory Workshop brochure.

If you would like to be considered for one of PBCRC’s supported registrations, please ensure you have the support of your parent organisation prior to contacting the CRC. Expressions of interest from non-partner organisations will also be considered.
